WHERE TO PLAY

FIND EVERYTHING TO DO!

Every community may boast of having ‘something for everyone’, but in Salina…we actually DO! Salina has a welcome reputation as a vibrant arts community. Concerts, theatre performances, museums, festivals, galleries and studios, public art throughout the community…it all speaks to the high quality of life offered in Salina. Lovers of the great outdoors will find great opportunities exploring our 700 acres of parks, playing golf, fishing, swimming, hiking, and biking.

In addition, there is a new sports complex, multiple museums, a community symphony, and civic theater. Your family will enjoy a variety of diverse dining options across the community or just pick up the ingredients to create an organic dining experience at one of our local farmers markets.

There are also many family entertainment venues including arcades, trampoline parks, bowling alleys, and robust youth sports offerings.

The arts are alive in Salina and offer a host of cultural attractions. The Smoky Hill River Festival draws thousands of visitors to the city each year. Each week, residents are treated to Friday Night Live performances at one of many popular downtown locations. And the community’s performing arts centers bring numerous world-class performances to Salina each year!

BEHIND THE ART

PATCHES, BY DALE LEWIS

“SculptureTour Salina is an outdoor exhibit of sculptures that changes each spring. Each year, the sculpture receiving the most votes by December 31, is purchased by the City of Salina and becomes part of Salina’s permanent public art collection. Anyone can stroll through our thriving downtown, tour the sculptures, and vote for your favorite piece. Each year, votes are tallied and the City of Salina purchases the “People’s Choice” winning sculpture to add to our permanent collection.”
